Molybdenum Oxide — questions answered.
Where can I buy molybdenum oxide?
Au Club supplies molybdenum oxide (technical grade and pure grade) and roasted molybdenum concentrate, including briquettes. Standard delivery FOB loading port. Pricing references the Platts Molybdenum Oxide Daily assessment. HS code 2825.70.
What is the difference between technical-grade and pure-grade molybdenum oxide?
Technical-grade molybdenum oxide (TMO) typically contains 60% Mo minimum and is used as a feedstock for ferromolybdenum production and steel alloying. Pure-grade molybdenum oxide (PMO) is higher purity (>99.5% molybdenum oxide) and is used in catalysts and chemical applications. Au Club supplies both.
How is molybdenum oxide priced?
Molybdenum oxide is priced against the Platts Molybdenum Oxide Daily assessment (USD per pound of contained Mo).
