FAQ

Tungsten Concentrate — questions answered.

Where can I buy tungsten concentrate outside China?

Au Club supplies tungsten concentrate (wolframite and scheelite, 65-75% WO3) sourced from non-China origins including Vietnam, Bolivia, Rwanda, and South Korea. Pricing references the Fastmarkets MB APT (ammonium paratungstate) European Warehouse assessment. HS code 2611.00.

What is the difference between wolframite and scheelite?

Wolframite is an iron-manganese tungstate ((Fe,Mn)WO4) and scheelite is a calcium tungstate (CaWO4). Both yield tungsten concentrate of equivalent grade after processing, but scheelite typically commands a small premium due to easier downstream chemistry. Au Club trades both.

How is tungsten priced in 2026?

Tungsten is priced against the Fastmarkets MB APT European Warehouse assessment, denominated in USD per MTU (metric tonne unit, 10 kg WO3). Post-2024 China export controls and downstream demand from defence applications, the APT assessment has held above $390/MTU for most of 2025-26.
